Shimla, May 17
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed condolence on the demise of former MLA from Ghumarwin assembly constituency Narayan Singh Swami. He died in Shimla at the age of 91. The Chief Minister prayed to God for peace of the departed soul and for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Born at Lanjhta village in Ghumarwin of Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradeshon April 10, 1933, Swami was elected to the Vidhan Sabha on the Janata Party ticket. He contested twice in 1977 and 1982.
Swamy is father of Himachal Pradesh High court judge Vivek Singh Thakur.
