The Coldwave condition remain unabated in Himachal Pradesh as widespread incessant and frequent spell of heavy snow has affected and paralyzed normal life due to snapping of power spans, blocking 450 roads including Hindustan Tibet National Highway-5, Manali-ATR-Keylong NH-3 and affecting water and telecommunications services in the state..
Minimum temperature of Shimla recorded at freezing point at Zero degrees and had half feet(15 cm) Slsnowfall overnight. Tourist resort Kufri, Fagu, Narkanda, Khidki recorded heavy snowfall since last three days. Tourist resort Kufri had 14 cm snow, Narkanda 20 cm, Kalpa in Kinnuar 25 cm and Tourist resort Manali ten cm.
Khadrala(Shimla) had :71 cm Shillaru 30 cm, Gondhla(Lahul Spiti) 20 cm Sangla(Kinnaur): 19 cm Snowfall.
Vehicular traffic is closed since last three days on Hindustan Tibet NH, Kharapather and Khidki on Theog-Rohru and Theog Chopal state highways.
Chumbi Kupvi and Khidki area of Shimla district had three to four feet Snowfall in last 24hrs cutting off all road, telecommunication and power supply in the region.
All most all roads are blocked in high reaches of Shimla, Lahaui and Kullu district in the snowline areas. Manali-ATR-Keylong NH-3 is closed.
Naina Devi (Bilaspur) had 52 mm rain, Sangrah (Sirmaur): 52 mm, Dharamshala(Kangra) and BBMB(Bilaspur) 40 mm,Kangra 34 mm, Solan 27 mm, Nahan (Sirmaur) 22 mm,
Mandi 19 mm and Una 28 mm.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus nine degrees, Kufri minus three degrees, Kalpa minus 2.6 degrees, Dalhousie minus two degrees,Shimla and Manali zero degrees,, Chamba 1.7 degrees, Dharamshala 2.2 degrees, Palampur 3.5 degrees, Solan 4.7 degrees Nahan (Sirmaur) 7.5 degrees, Una nine degrees, Kangra seven degrees, Hamirpur seven degrees, Mandi 7.9 degrees, Bilaspur nine degrees.
Maximum Temperature was 3-4 degree below normal during last 24 but average Maximum temperature was 7-8 degree below normal.
Met Office forcast light rain or snow in isolated places in the state during next 24hrs. Moderate to Dense fog at
isolated pockets in Low Hills/Plains was also issued.
