Four employees hailing from Haryana booked, for securing job on fake Certificate
Shimla, Oct 18
Four India Post employees are facing legal trouble as an FIR (No-163/23) has been registered against them at Theog Police station for securing jobs with fake certificates. Deputy Superintendent of Police Siddharth of Theog confirmed the case of job acquisition through fraudulent documents.
The individuals in question, four Gramin Dak Sevaks, managed to secure employment in the state through the submission of counterfeit documents. It has been revealed that they were assisted by a racket involved in obtaining jobs using false credentials.
The FIR has been filed at Theog police station in Shimla district, and all four accused hail from Haryana. Their recruitment occurred in the year 2021.
An initial investigation conducted by the Inspector of the Postal Department in Theog uncovered that their 10th and 12th class documents were fake. These documents were sent for verification to the relevant education boards and universities, and discrepancies were detected.
The four Gramin Dak Sevaks who acquired their positions with fake documents are Sushil (son of Radhe Shyam, Village and Post Office Thani Lagji, Ellenabad, District Sirsa), Sahil (son of Mukesh Kumar, Village and Post Office Mirch, Charkhi Dadri, Haryana), Rakesh (son of Ishwar Singh, Village Post Office Dhanana, District Bhiwani), and Karmaveer (son of Ajan Singh, Village Post Office Jhalera Phalian, Narwana District Jind, Haryana).
These postal employees were stationed in various locations, with one in Madhan of Theog, another in Gumma-Kotkhai, the third in Nagan Kotkhai, and the fourth in the Mahasu branch. The police have registered a case against all four and have initiated further action.
An FIR has been filed against the four individuals at Theog Police Station, and an investigation is currently underway. If necessary, they may face arrest.
It is important to note that their recruitment was based on the merit of their 10th and 12th class marks, which led them to resort to using fake documents.
This incident comes in the wake of the recent busting of a similar racket involving fake certificates in India Post by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). A significant number of Gramin Dak Sevaks were recruited in the department in 2021, and a number of them have faced accusations of securing jobs with fraudulent documents. FIRs have been lodged against these individuals in various police stations.
