Shimla, August 12
The Himachal Pradesh Government was blamed by the opposition Congress for delaying simple queries being asked in the question hour regarding the total fleet of vehicles owned/bought by them. The delay for more than six months is depriving the members of opposition from the information deliberately. This was stated in the state assembly by the leader of opposition Mukesh Agnihotri
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said in reply to the query that information is being collected.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that this query was being asked by the members since the previous assembly sessions but the reply was not being given by the state. Agnihotri said that the speaker should not interrupt him while asking the query and instead snub the treasury benches to give reply to the query.
LoP also accused the chair of not protecting them stating that the motion of no confidence motion was cut short by the speaker depriving members of opposition to speak on the motion.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that member should not stress on the issue too much as the queries, are very lengthy and need time.
Meanwhile, Speaker said that behavior of the opposition members during the no confidence motion and outside the house after the walkout was not responsible.
