H.P Fire incident data: One died, state suffers loss of Rs 1.13 Crore in Diwali days

Himachal Pradesh witnessed 40 fire mishaps in which one lost life and the state suffered property loss worth Rs 1.13 Crore during the three days of Diwali between Nov 11 to 13.
According to Commandant Home Guard Solan Naresh Sharma, a house fire broke out due to an electric short circuit on Diwali night on November 12 in sector 3 of Parwanoo in which one died and another suffer burn injuries.
As par data available with the state fire control room, including 18 house fires, three forest fires, 19 others and three other fire cases were reported. Total 40 cases of fire left behind a cumulative loss of Rs 1,13,36000 to property and also Rs 10.51 Cr worth property was saved by intime action by fire personnel and local people.
Solan district reported one major house fire and seven other reporting cumulative loss of one life and loss of Rs 11 lakh. In district Kinnuar a furniture and handicraft showroom at Khawangi, one kilometer from district headquarter left a loss of Rs 70 lakh. The infernos were taken down by four fire tenders deployed from Recong-peo fire station on November 13.
The highest fire incidents were recorded in Kangra where in seven houses were gutted and including three business establishment and causing total loss of 9.26 lakh. Shimla recorded nine Diwali fires including two house , three forest and four other causing of loss to tune to Rs 6.26 lakh. Hamirpur reported three fire incidents ( two house house) causing loss of Rs 5.85 lakh, Mandi reported a total of four house fires rendering loss Rs 5.20 lakh, Una recorded two fires incidents with loss of Rs 5.05 lakh. A fire in Kullu reported loss of Rs 0.20 lakh and Sirmaur recorded loss Rs 0.17lakh from two fire incidents. No loss of life was reported from these two districts.
Notable Bilaspur and Lahaul Spiti recorded no fire incidents according Diwali night available.
