The Himachal Pradesh Police Department has officially announced the recruitment process for the post of Constable (Male & Female) in the districts of Southern Range, including Sirmour, Solan, Shimla, and Kinnaur. According to an official spokesperson from the Himachal Pradesh Police, the recruitment will be overseen by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Southern Range, who will chair the District Recruitment Committees.
The Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for candidates will take place in a phased schedule across the districts, starting with Sirmour from 11th to 20th February 2025, followed by Solan from 25th February to 6th March 2025, Shimla from 11th to 22nd March 2025, and Kinnaur on 27th and 28th March 2025.
The venues for these tests are Chamba Ground in Nahan/Chaugan for Sirmour (11,202 candidates), Police Lines Solan for Solan (9,275 candidates), Police Lines Bharari for Shimla (12,795 candidates), and Mini Stadium Kalpa for Kinnaur (1,350 candidates).
The spokesperson confirmed that female candidates will be called first for the tests, followed by male candidates. All candidates are instructed to report at the test venues by 7:00 AM sharp on the designated dates.
E-Admit Cards are being issued by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC), and candidates who have not received their admit cards are advised to contact the HPPSC for assistance.
The spokesperson further emphasized that only the candidates will be allowed to enter the test venues, and the concerned Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) have been tasked with ensuring smooth arrangements for the process.
