A 19 year old Akshat Dev died after being hit by a small rolling stone. He recieved head injury at Reva Water fall in Ashwani river under Sadar Police station in Solan district, on Thursday evening.
Solan Dy.SP Bhisham Thakur said that the police received information from the Regional Hospital Solan that a person has been brought from Ashwini river in an injured condition for treatment, on which a team of Police Station Sadar Solan left for Regional Hospital Solan and Reva Water Fall Ashwini river.
During investigation of the case, it was found that a group of 13 students from National Law University Delhi had come to Heritage Park Ashwini river and Reva Water Fall for a walk and when all these students were taking off their clothes to take a bath in Reva Water Fall at around 4.30pm, suddenly a stone fell from the uphill side and hit the head of the student standing below namely Akshat Dev resident of district Jaipur Rajasthan. On suffering the hit due Akshat fell unconscious on the spot and heavy bleeding started from his head.
Dy.SP said that soon after that, his fellow students and other people brought Akshat Dev to the Regional Hospital Solan for treatment where he was declared brought dead. investigation revealed that it appears that the deceased Akshat Dev died due to excessive bleeding from a head injury caused by a sudden stone falling from the hill.
