Shimla, May 18
Himachal Pradesh which is affected by the Covid pandemic with a large number of active cases currently received consignment from different countries as relief material, senior medical officer of state government confirmed.
Former Sr MS of IGMC and Deputy Director Health Dr Ramesh Chand confirmed that Himachal is receiving international consignment of Covid relief as the state got 96 cylinder of Oxygen from Finland, 25000 VTM . State also received relief
material of Mask and PPE kits from Kazakhstan, 288 cylinder of Oxygen from Singapore, 25000 Rapid Testing Kits from South Africa.
Relief of 50, 45, 25 ventilators were received from Switzerland, Spain and Canada respectively. Ten big ICU ventilators were received from Egypt, 150 Oxygen cylinder were received from UK, 283 big and small Oxygen cylinder from Kuwait, 100 small Cylinder from Korea, 185 oxygen cylinders from Taiwan, 596 Ramdesivir injections and 80 thousand masks arrived at Shimla from the US.
Till afternoon of Monday the state also had received 11058 Oxygen Cylinder concentrators , 13496 Oxygen cylinder , 19 Oxygen Generation plant, 7365 ventilators (Bi PAP)\5.3 lakh Remdesivir.
Dr Ramesh Chand also said that WHO handed over a truck load of 100 Oxygen concentrators to Himachal Pradesh arrived at Shimla. He said that WHO representative Dr Usha Kiran and Mr Anoop Saxena were present during handing over WHO consignment.
Dr Ramesh said that three trucks carrying around 200 cylinders from the UK and other places arrived at Shimla today evening .
