Ending Prolonged tension between HRTC staff and management for not releasing former’s dues, the joint action committee has called off the proposed Strike on Monday.
Confirming the development here late night a police officer said that on the request of management, the joint action committee of HRTC employees have called off their ‘ Kam Choro Hartal’,( Quit Work strike) today.
The Himachal Pradesh Road corporation management has invited the employees in writing for a meetings at 1600 hrs today.
On the move of Management HRTC employees decided to withdraw the call of proposed Strike and employees would continue the Protest further if their demands were not met.
Earlier to this development Khemendra Gupta, Secretary, Transport Employees Joint Coordination Committee said joint action committee would boycott their work holding Kam Chhodo Andolon ( Quit Work Movement ) for a day today.
Since September 14 HRTC are Protesting against non-implementation of agreements made in the year 2016 regarding release of pending financial payments of about Rs 500 crore to the employees.
The accumulated dues are pending in the form of 13 pc Interim Relief (IR) from Jan 2016, four p c IR from Jan 2019, five p c IR from July 2016 and six p c IR from July 2021, total Dearness Allowance ( DA ) 15 per cent , 32 months night over time, pension, gratuity commutation, leave encashment, GPF, medical reimbursement, many types of arrears etc., he added.
In addition to the financial demands, Protesters are seeking action against those officials who are involved in corruption, To bringing employees serving on Peace Meal basis under lump sum contract, restoring the initial pay scale of Rs 9880/- as before, giving the initial pay scale to the operators and the benefit of the ACP scheme, in the corporation.
