Himachal Pradesh State Emergency Operation Centre informed here today that three persons were killed in separate mishaps occured in the state on Tuesday in Kullu and Solan district.
SEOC spokesperson Sudesh Mokta said that one lady and one boy ( tourist from Delhi) died at Bhang near Manali in the Kullu district of state at 1728 hrs on Tuesday.
He said that incident of drowning happened when the two were taking selfie at Bhang. As per the information received here from Tehsildar Manali said that lady(37) and one boy (12) possibly mother child belonged to South Delhi .
The two fell down near Aleur Grand Hotel at Bhang while taking Selfie and died on the spot. Dead bodies were retrieved and one dead body sent to Civil and second to mission hospital .Identification of the deceased are yet to be revealed.
In another incident one persons died in a road mishap occurred near Deyong Chowki at Kandaghat in Solan district around 1500 hrs on Tuesday. Mokta said that information received from police station Kandaghat said that a tipper
(PB-11CQ 8636) fell down the road while throwing debris. The driver, identified as Ashwani Rohal
son of Ishwar Dutt of Shogi (Shimla)Â , died on the spot.
Monsoon rainfall took a heavy toll of life as till Monday state recorded as many as 413 deaths
(65 in Shimla district) due to rainy season including 206 (44 in Shimla district) in road mishaps.
State recorded 54 deaths in the landslides, 53 in falling of buildings and falling of victims from the height, 34 died due to drowning, 18 due to snake bites, 10 due to cloudbursts and flood. State recorded cumulative loss of Rs 1066.50 Cr in the Monsoon Season.
