The minimum temperature plummeted significantly below average as it was minus 5.7 celsius at Keylong, the headquarter of the Lahaul-Spiti district, on Sunday.
Indian Meteorological Department said in a forecast issued here today that the minimum temperature slid down to 5.7 degrees and 4.7 degrees below normal.
In the Kinnaur district, Kalpa was minus 0.8 degrees and 2.5 degrees below normal. Tourists’ favourite Kufri at 1.4, Hamirpur at 5.4, Shimla and Una at seven, Solan & Sundernagar(Mandi) at four, Hamirpur at 5.4, Mandi 5.7, Chamba at 5.8, Kangra 7.5, Bilaspur & Dharamshala 8.5 and Dalhousie 6.
A fresh Western disturbance, with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level, runs roughly over the State. Rain and Snow occurred in many places in high reaches. As per weather experts, rain is likely to happen in a few mid and isolated places in the next 24 hours.
