Barely, people have got respite from the extreme winter weather in last two days, wherein another coldwave is likely to arrive soon as the Met Office has pedicated another spell in the state from tomorrow
Met office said in the weekly forcast that another Western Disturbances becoming active in the state. Dark clouds are already hovering in the sky ad it was partly cloudy on this evening.
Yellow alert was issued by Shimla Met Office of Thunderstorm and lightning likely at isolated places over plains and low hills on Feb 8 and 9 in the state.
Forecast of rain or snow is issued at many places in mid and high reaches and rain in few places of foot hills of Himachal Pradesh on Feb 9 and few places on Feb 8 in the state.
Met Office recorded six cm fresh snow at Keylong and two cm Kukumseri in the Lahaul-Spiti district in last 24 hrs. Moderate to dense fog affected isolated pockets in the districts of Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra and Mandi today and Tomorrow .
It is mentioned earlier that schedule six earth quake measuring 4.1 on Richter scale occurred this morning on Sunday.
Spokesperson of Kinnaur district administration informed that a heavy Rock slide on Hindustan Tibet NH-05 near Urni Dank at 1615hrs, due to earthquake there is no loss of life.
District Administration deployed one JCB machine on the spot to open the road.Now road is open for all type of vehicles .
Keylong, headquarter of Lahaul Spiti Minimum temperature recorded minus 13.4 degree Celsius, Kalpa minus 3.8 degrees,Manali minus 1.8 degrees, Kufri minus 1.4 degrees, Dalhousie 0.1 degrees, Shimla 1.2 degrees, Solan 1.7 degrees, Chamba 5.7 degrees, Dharmshala 5.2 degrees, Hamirpur 5.6 degrees, Kangra 5.8 degrees,Mandi 5.9 degrees, Hamirpur 3.8 degrees, Nahan(Sirmour) seven degrees, Una 5.2 degrees and Bilaspur six degrees each.
People took respite as the day temperature increased and they enjoyed bright sunshine during the day. Maximum temperature of Una was 20 degrees today and Highest in the state.
