Reports arriving here that the nomination gathering of Congress candidate Mukesh Agnihotri at Haroli in Una district of Himachal Pradesh witnessed a mishap on Thursday. The incident took place when Agnihotri was about to address the supporting crowd from the mic system on the Dias. All of sudden the setup came on ground as the stage could not withstand the weight of the people.
A woman injured in milieu was rushed to hospital as she lost consciousness. This created panic among the people present on the spot. A dozen people including Mukesh Agnihotri and his daughter Aastha Agnihotri were injured in this incident. Former SHO Kamal Chand has suffered serious injuries in the accident.
Agnihotri had reached the SDM Office Haroli with a long convoy to file nomination.
Reportedly, Mukesh has suffered minor injuries in his leg. Among the injured, Aastha Agnihotri daughter Mukesh Agnihotri, Surekha Rana, Harwant Singh, Kamal Chand Virendra Singh (PSO Mukesh Agnihotri), Yashpal, Subhadra Devi and Madhu and Vinod Kumar (Block head Haroli).
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur took a jibe at the tweet on this incident. The duo have been engaged in word barbs on each other.
