The North Western parts of India facing scorching heatwave are also taking life due to gullible people drawing blindly towards inflated water bodies and risking their lifes.
In two separate incidents a local and a tourist hailed from Madhya Pradesh died in separate drowning incident in Beas river of Kullu district and Tons( a tributary of Yamuna).
In first mishap a woman victim was taking selfie on the banks of Beas River however he slipped in a slippery placenear Nehru Kund, about 4 km from Manali.
The deceased was identified as Ruchi Tiwari (23), a resident of Reva in Madhya Pradesh.
A police team from Manali was at the spot and a search and rescue operation to trace the missing persons was going on, DSP Manali K D Sharma told

,In another incident a man died after drowning in Tons River under Ronhaut Tehsil of Shilai subdivision of Sirmour district at Gukam Tiloni area Sunday afternoon.
This was informed by state disaster management authority that local villagers informed the police about the body of the deceased which was taken out of the with help of police from the river at 6:30 pm.
The body of the deceased is being taken to CHC Shivai for post-mortem and the post-mortem. The Body would be sent to the family for Rs 25000. The deceased identified as Raghuveer Singh resident of village Khando Dharwa of Ronhaut Tehsil of Sirmour district.
