Shimla, May 30
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to Shimla will be celebrated as a mega event. Prime Modi will attend the program organized to commemorate the completion of eight years of the Central Government on Tuesday. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated while giving information at a press meet here, today.
CM said that the Garib Kalyan Sammelan is being organized at the Ridge Ground. In this program, 17 lakh people from across the country will be directly involved. Also, about 50 thousand people will physically attend this program. Thakur added that in the rest of 11 districts, ministers and organization leaders will join the program online.
He said that during the event, the 11th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi will be released. Around, 80 crore people will be benefitted. Thakur stated that PM Modi has affection for Himachal and therefore AIIMS, Rohtang Tunnel were provided financial assistance of 800 crores.
He said that the NDA government has completed eight-years in term, yesterday. Adding, that, today Himachal has got recognition at the international level because of PM Modi. The Himachal government is getting maximum help in the form of a double engine government, assured the CM.
Thakur said that there will be a road-show of PM Modi from Annandale to Rani Jhansi Park. Union Minister Anurag Thakur will accompany the PM. BJP National President JP Nadda will not attend the program.
Replying to the Congress party remarks, Jai Ram Thakur said, “I am a party worker before being the Chief Minister. So it doesn’t affect me.” Adding,” As part of the responsibility entrusted to me by the party, I had even gone to the house of Congress President Pratibha Singh to invite them for the event.
