Raj Days Shimla Municipal Corporation, the oldest civic body in the country has invited bids to lease out ground floor of Town hall to run a high end Restaurant on the Mall road.
A notification issued by Shimla MC copy of which is with himachalscape said that MC would lease out space for running of high end restaurant at Ground floor of Town hall Shimla fixing minimum reserve license fees of Rs five lakh and each earnest money.
The tender cost of the bid is fixed Rs 500 and concession period of the bid is 12 years. The bid was published on line on Oct 23, 2020. The bidder could down load tender and submit it from Oct 23 (1700hrs) to Nov 13, 1030 hrs. Notification said that Technical bid would be open and its evaluation would be done on Nov 13 and financial bid to be opened on Nov 17 .
Earlier to this town hall housed SMC office (before its renovation till 2013-14) however it was decided to not hand it over back to the Civic body. The decision was taken by the Himachal Pradesh High court while hearing a PIL last year.
