For ensuring unhindered movement of vehicles involved in transportation of essential supplies the Shimla District Magistrate Amit Kashyap has allowed certain exemptions. “Following exemption are allowed in curfew to ensure unobstructed movement of vehicles involved in transportation of essential supplies and the life insurance offices providing essential services,” reads the order.
As per the order all workshops of trucks on National highways shall remain open in the district. Second all other repair/ mechanic shops for Light traffic vehicles (LTV) in the district can remain open on every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday between 10AM to 1PM. However the lTV workshop are allowed to remain open on rotational basis which will be decided by concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate, it stated. Besides even Tyre puncture repairs shops shall also remain open in the district from 10 AM to 5 PM every day. Also insurance offices in Shimla district shall remain open from 10 AM to 2 PM, informs the order.
