Shimla, Feb 5
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi today ordered to keep all Government Offices Boards Corporations , Autonomous bodies, Educational Institutions etc. closed on February 5 , 2022 ( Saturday ) within the territorial limits of Municipal Corporation Shimla.
In a order issued DC said that District Shimla has experienced heavy snow fall on February 3 & 4, 2022 which also disrupted smooth movement of vehicles, public transport and taxis etc. All major internal roads in the Town and some parts of the District have been blocked because of the continuous snow fall.
He said that district administration, departments , Municipal corporation and all other Govt agencies have relentlessly put in all efforts and deployed all resources, including men and machinery to restore the movement of vehicles and all essential services .
He said that owing to heavy snowfall, influx of tourist vehicles in Shimla Town has also increased manifold. He said that it shall take some more time for restoration of roads and services .
Taking into consideration the present situation and in view of the safety and convenience of the General Public, DC who is also Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority  Shimla ordered to close all Government Offices Boards Corporations, Autonomous bodies, Educational Institutions etc. on tomorrow on February 5, 2022 ( Saturday ) within the territorial limits of Municipal Corporation Shimla .
He however said that this order shall not effect working of Departments, Offices, Agencies dealing with maintenance of essential and emergency Services and the offices dealing with preparation of state Budget , 2022-23 .
