Two-time assembly member from Shimla rural Vikramaditya Singh, the son of former CM late Virbhadra Singh and Mandi LS MP Pratibha Singh, defended himself in a press conference about the domestic violence charges levelled by his spouse.

Regarding allegations by the wife, he stated that fire is needed for the smoke to come out, and he knows who is behind this conspiracy. Adding that,” Holly Lodge is blessed by Maa Bhimakali.”
He assured that, answers to questions like why the issue was raised at the time of cabinet selection and who is behind it will also be disclosed soon. “Details would be revealed in an appropriate time,” he stated.
Responding about the massive victory of the Congress party in Shimla district, he said that they won 7 out of 8 seats due to the previous government’s negligence towards apple growers. Whereby the mandate was an outcome of the displeasure and wrath expressed by voters against the former Jai Ram Thakur Government.
In response to a query about the promise of OPS, he said that the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister have made it clear that the demand will be fulfilled. Congress had promised to restore OPS within ten days of forming the government, but the cabinet has yet to be sworn. Reiterating the party lines, he added that the government would ensure the restoration of old pension in the first cabinet meeting.
He added that Rahul Gandhi has also told the organization and government to work in harmony as the big battle is yet to come in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
” Means of income for citizens will be strengthened by the State government through generating additional resources,” he added. While urging, he said that the Central leadership should showcase a big heart. He said that PM Narendra Modi had stated that Himachal is his second home and, therefore, the relationship should remain intact.
” Virbhadra is my friend,” reminding about this statement by former PM Atal Bihari Vajpai, MLA Singh said that such is the relationship between the Center and the State and should continue.
