Shimla, May 30,
A representative from the State Election Department announced today that out of a total of 7,992 polling stations, including two auxiliary stations, 369 have been designated as critical for the upcoming elections on June 1, 2024.
District Kangra has the highest number of critical polling stations at 118, followed by Sirmour with 58, and Una with 51 critical stations. Additionally, Solan has identified 45 critical polling stations, while Chamba has 20.
In Hamirpur, there are 17 critical polling stations. The districts of Bilaspur, Mandi, and Shimla each have 16 critical booths. Kinnaur has identified seven critical stations, Kullu has three, and Lahual-Spiti has the fewest with just two critical polling stations.
