At least three persons lost their lives and several others sustained injuries in a late-night road accident near Dadaur, close to Nerchowk in Mandi district in Himachal Pradsesh. In past 24hrs this is seven people have been killed as four died in Sangrah subdivision of Sirmaur district on Monday.
The latest mishap reportedly occurred when a vehicle lost control along the stretch, leading to a severe crash. Local residents and police teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident and launched a rescue operation.
The injured were shifted to Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital at Nerchowk, where they are undergoing treatment. The condition of some of the injured is stated to be serious, according to initial reports.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of lives. In his condolence message, he prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.

The Chief Minister has directed the district administration to ensure the best possible medical care to the injured and wished them a speedy recovery.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. The incident once again raises concerns over road safety on hilly terrains in the region, where sharp turns and night driving often pose significant risks.
