The death toll in the Una firecracker factory blast rose to 11 as two more casualties reported in PGI Chandigarh on Sunday, State Government spokesman said here today.
Sudesh Mokta, spokesperson of state disaster Management authority said in a press release here today that 11 victim have died as two more died in Una fire cracker tragedy while they are going treatment at PGI Chandigarh. Five victim all of them are women died in PGI in last three days as to succumbed to burn injuries on Sunday.
He said that now three each injured are Hospitalized at PGI and Regional Hospital Una and one in Ambala. Two others have discharged from the hospital.
As it has been stated that a big blast took place in an illegally run firecracker factory at Bathu in Tahliwal industrial area of Haroli in Una district on Feb 22 in which seven died in the spot and 13 injured were hospitalized in various insitutions. A SIT constituted by state police to nab the owner of factory who was booked under explosive Act and culpable homicide ( not murder) and endangering the life of people under IPC.
