Veteran theatre director and actor Deven Joshi passed away at Mohali in Punjab on Sunday family member informed here today. Senior theatre worker, academy awarde and president of Natyanukriti Shimla Sanjay Sood said that his last remains to be consignment to fire at Delhi on Monday.
Sood expressed condolence on the said demise of veteran theatre director and actor.
While offering heartfelt condolence and sympathies for the peace of the departed soul and patience for the family members. Deven Joshi was the Stage person committed to theater. He himself was the school of theatre who had firm believed in commitment and discipline in the theater.
Multifaceted Deven Joshi’s services to the theatre enduring the theatre lovers in Shimla and around Himachal. Deven Joshi’s directed plays Ashad ka ek din, Sandhya Chhaya, Aadhe Adhure, Pagla Ghoda, Sari Rat, Look back in anger.
A doyen in Himachal theatre, he was a versatile genius with the acting nuances and a third eye for finer intricacies in real life, which he portrayed in his theatrical works.
He will be deeply missed by theater lovers and intellectual fraternity in the state.
