First case reported from Lahaul & Spiti in Himachal

First COVID-19 positive case has been reported from district of Lahaul-Spiti in Himachal Pradesh. The tribal area mostly above 3000 meters altitude had not reported a single case before. “One Person tested positive forÂ nCoV in Lahaul-Spiti district,” stated Dr Jeevanand, MS Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical college, Mandi. Not a local but he is a 25 year old migrant labourer from Bihar. He wasÂ Quarantined in Lahaul labour quarantine facility.

In the last 24 hours Himachal Pradesh witnessed 23 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus. As 11 cases recorded in Kangra, three each inÂ in Una and SolanÂ and one each in Mandi, Sirmaur, Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul & Spiti and Bilaspur district raising the total tally to 917 on Monday, till filling of the report.
