Shimla, May 7
District Unit of CPI(M) condoled the death of 21 yrs old youth from Sarkaghat area of Mandi district on Tuesday due to #COVID-19 and Renal failure and have termed the sudden increase in cases, shocking.
Former Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation and District Secretary of party Sanjay Chauhan in a press release issued here today stated that, now cases are increasing in large numbers as half dozen of new cases have been reported in last two days in the hill state.
He pointed out that state Government and Administration is trying to cover up their actions as WHO guidelines to dispose the body of COVID-19 deceased was flouted. Lashing out on the them for adopting negligence in the case of 21 yrs old youth belonged to Sarkaghat area of Mandi district he said that their working is posing number of questions in the mind of people.
” The way consignment of 21 yrs old Corona positive deceased done hurriedly at Kalnog cremation ground in the town on Tuesday night indicates that guidelines have been flouted.’ he charged. Adding, “that the party seeks probe into the negligence of protocol in disposing of the body of COVID positive patient, and strict action against the responsible.”
He added that such glaring violation of Pandemic guidelines should not take place in the future and front-line workers should be provided PPE kits and sufficient safety to work in odd situation.
Government should deal with the present situation on war footing by making the foolproof strategy to cope up with the present situation, he added.
