After random sampling for COVID-19 in the Kullu district any possibility of community transmission has been ruled out here as no evidence was found during the Survey, stated a senior Government official here today
Additional chief Secretary Health and Nodal Officer of Covid-19 R D Dhiman said in a press statement that a random survey was conducted by ICMR in District Kullu to rule out community transmission.
This sero-surveillance survey was based on IgG antibodies to coronavirus. Blood samples of 405 persons were taken around three weeks back across 10 locations in District Kullu and tested at NITRD, Chennai.
The results have been received today and all 405 samples have been found negative. This indicates that there is no evidence of community transmission and containment efforts have been successful by and large, he added.
