Including Tourist area Narkanda many places of high reaches are receiving snowfall in the state disrupting movement of traffic and down streams are lashed by the thundershowers and windstorm in last 24hrs.
Superintendent of police Shimla Mohit Chawla said that Tourist resort Narkanda has received about six cm snowfall which is continuing, thus disrupting vehicular traffic completely.
Shimla and Kufri also received intermittent snowfall recorded about five cm each however vehicular movement was open till filling this report.Â
He said that snow also continues in Chopal area of Shimla district. Approximately four inches of snow has been recorded at Khidaki area. He said that Chopal-Deha road is also blocked by snow which is yet continuing.Â
Restoration work would be started as soon as snow stops, he added.Â
High reaches of Shimla Including Khadrala, Hatu peak, Chanshal pass and Dodra-Kawar also recorded moderate spell of Snowfall. There are report of Snow in higher reaches of Kangra, Chamba and Kullu districts also.
The high reaches of Lahaul Spiti district including Rohtang pass, lady of Keylong, Seven sister hills, Goshal hills and Baralachala, in Chamba district, Manimehash, Chachpass, Pangi-Bharmaur, in Kangra district Dhauladhar ranges are also receiving another spell of Snow.
Shimla, Solan, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Una and Sirmaur are lashed by showers and thunderstorms in last 24hrs increasing the coldwave and ending the month long dry spell in the state.Â
