Himachal Pradesh State Police CID claimed that it has solved the anonymous letter controversy over alleged Ventilators deal after nabbing a person for drafting a letter which went viral in social media recently.

In a press statement issued today Superintendent of Police and Liaisoning Officer state
police department Kushal Sharma said that the accused identified as Shadi Lal Tickoo son of Mohan Lal Tickoo resident of Khanpur, Kharar of District Mohali of Punjab was arrested today.Sharma said that the case has been solved as the accused has confessed that he drafted the questioned letter in the Cyber Cafe of Khanpur, Kharar at Mohali .

He said that accused was booked under sec 202, 203 , 500, 505 , 120 of IPC and 52 of Disaster Management Act was released on bail after his arrest

The accused is presently working with Harmony Health Care (BPLK) plot no- 3115 phase –II Industrial area Chandigarh . He worked in Cardio Lab from Feb 2016 till Nov 2019 as Service inCharge. He was the senior most employee and his salary was Rs 45000, He was terminated from the Cario Lab due to salary issue and administrative reasons. Being the senior most employees and Service incharge he had access to the Account and Billing Department .

He retained some official records of the Cardio lab after termination of his job. During the lockdown he claimed to have destroyed all the related records . As the earlier purchase was made through HP State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd, (HPSEDC ) Himachal .

The CID claimed that the accused addressed this anonymous letter to the MD of HPSEDC Himachal and he also addressed a similar letter to Haryana.

It is worthwhile to mentioned that state CID was handed over this investigation by the Chief minister Jai Ram thakur as alleged Ventilator Purchase case attracted media headline during the Covid-19 lock down and FIR was also registered under police Station Bharari Shimla by the CID in the month of Jun.
