In a remarkable display of commitment, Himalayan Heli Adventure based in Manali successfully evacuated two ailing individuals from remote villages in Himachal Pradesh. The rescue missions were conducted in Saach Village of Chamba district and Bara Bhangal in Kangra district.

Manjeev Bhalla, Director of Himalayan Heli Adventures., revealed that local residents from the two villages had reached out to the Himachal State Government, highlighting the dire circumstances faced by the patients.
“Upon receiving distress calls yesterday, the Himachal Government promptly contacted our helicopter skiing operations company in Manali, requesting immediate assistance for rescue sorties,” Bhalla stated.
Despite severe weather conditions marked by rain and sleet, the rescue flights were swiftly planned and executed. One sortie took place on Sunday and the second on Monday, showcasing the team’s resolve to carry out their mission under challenging circumstances.
The rescue and evacuation operations were led by Switzerland-trained rescue experts from Himalayan Heli Adventures and piloted by Armas Salsola. Their expertise ensured the safe airlifting of the patients to designated medical facilities.
One of the rescued patients was transported to the company’s base in Manali, while the other was taken to the Kangnidhar Helipad in Mandi for further medical attention.
Himalayan Heli Adventures has been conducting helicopter skiing operations in Himachal Pradesh since 1990. Over the years, the company has consistently stepped up to support local communities in remote, snowbound areas, reaffirming their dedication to service and safety.
