A building belonging to COVID-19 patient at Malayana, outskirt of capital town has been sealed by the local administration as the tested person was in home quarantine there, confirmed a senior official here today.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Amit Kashayap said that the man returned to Shimla on May 30 from Gurugram of Haryana was suffering from fever. He was shifted to IGMC few days ago after he found symptomatic for the Covid-19 tested positive at IGMC last night.
Kashayap said that the man was in home quarantine after his return to Malayana before he was admitted in the hospital. The building was sealed today, declaring it confinement zone. The contacts of the man were being traced.
Senior Medical Officer of IGMC Shimla Dr Janak Raj told last night that a 58yrs old resident of Sanjauli outskirt of Shimla returned from Gurrugram of Haryana on May 30 tested positive at IGMC microbiology lab on Sunday.
With this total number of cases in Shimla district mounted to 13 including four active and four recovered.
