Shimla, May 7
Accusing Jai Ram Thakur Government to be indulging in nepotism in recruitment, leaders of Congress party have demanded hand over of the police recruitment paper leak case, to the Central Bureau of Investigation. In a press statement, Congress, legislative party leader Mukesh Agnihotri said that the State police, the recruiting agency for these appointments, could not be entrusted with the probe. “It should be handed over to CBI to ensure a free and fair investigation,” he stated.
He said that not thousands but lakhs of candidates are being cheated by the fictitious recruitment process being run in the state by the Jai Ram Thakur Government. People who are not eligible are favoured, as the BJP government is indulging in nepotism and recruiting people of one political ideology.
In another press release issued here today, Congress President Pratibha Singh has given a call to all district and state units of the party to organize a protest against the rigging and failures of the State government. She said that State Congress would organize a state-wide sit-in demonstration on Monday, May 9, regarding the paper leak issue of the police recruitment examination.
