In another breach of Model code of conduct in poll bound Himachal Pradesh an Electronic Votting Machine was recovered from a pvt vehicle at Dutnagar near Rampur. The ECI has deputed SDM Rampur on the spot.
AICC spokesperson Alka Lamba took twitter to expose this incident at 8.27 pm on Saturday. She said in a hindi post that once again #EVM machines found in private vehicle in Rampur – People have surrounded the vehicle – Waiting for the police – A big challenge for the police administration to maintain law and order. She said that Nation and Indian National Congress seeking an answer from the Election Commission – the Election Commission has kept silent.
Chief Electrol Officer Manish Garg said that SDM Rampur was asked to visit the spot to find out truth in the incident. Congress MLA Nand Lal and BJP candidate Kaul Negi also arrived on the spot. SDM and police party searched vehicles of MLA and candidate increasing high tension drama. Congress workers stopped a pvt vehicle carrying EVMs but the official who were on duty ran away from the spot. Talking about the EVMs the Dutt Nagar polling party stated that they hired pvt vehicle and EVMs contained 850 polled votes. SDM Rampur sealed the EVM in its possession to ascertain the truth and rule out any foul play by the polling parties and any antisocial element.
