Himachal Pradesh Police registered an FIR on complaint of state IT department about spreading of misinformation on the social media and issuance of two wrong -e pass on the name of Ex US president Donald Trump and Bollywood Actor Amitabh Bachchan here today.
Superintendent of Police Shimla Mohit Chawala said that case has been lodged under section 419, 468, 471 of IPC an d66 D of IT Act and 54 of Disaster Management Act at police station ChhotaShimla on the complaint of Department of Information Technology.
He said that in the complaint it has been stated that misinformation being spread on social media and news channel about issuance of wrong- E pass by district Administeration .
He said that two registeration bearing pass no- HP 2563825 and HP 2563287 have been made on the name of Donald Trump and Amitab Bachhan , both having same mobile number and identifty proof as AADHAAR number. The case is being investigated.
Earlier to this social media and some new channel broke this shocking news that former US President Donald Trump and Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan wanted to visit Himachal Pradesh on Friday as “essential service providers”, if two recent e-pass registrations required to enter the state are to be believed.
The state police has received a complaint about fake registrations in
the name of Trump and Bachchan on the state’s e-pass portal.
Currently, all people visiting Himachal are required to register and
obtain an e-pass before entering the state.
According to the copies of two such passes circulating on social
media, an individual named ‘Donald Trumph’ registered to visit Sunni
in Shimla district from Sector 17 in Chandigarh. Another e-pass was
allegedly issued to ‘Amitab Bachhan’ who too wanted to visit Shimla
from Sector 17.
