Shimla, May 20
First case of fatal black fungi was detected in a Covid positive patient as victim was referred to IGMC hospital Shimla from Nerchowk Medical College,senior Superintendent of
IGMC Dr Janak Raj confirmed in a media bulletin issued today.
Dr Raj said that patient was tested positive for nCoV on May 4, 2021 and she was refer to Shri
Lal Bhadhur Shastri Medical College Nerchowk from Hamirpur after chest congestion and breathing problem. The patient was co-morbid for Blood pressure and Sugar and belonged to Khagar area of Hamirpur .
The condition of the patient is reported stable and fatal black fungs is confined to a nostril she is under medical supervision in the hospital.
This is first case of Black Fungus in the state .
