Shimla, Nov 17
Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Datatrya today convened winter session of State legislative assembly from December 7 at Tapovan near Dharamshala. In a notification issued by Secretary Vidhan Sabha Yashpal Sharma said that Governor convened the state legislative assembly Winter Session from at 1400hrs of Dec 7 and it would last till Dec 11, 2020 at Tapovan near Dharmshala in Kangra district.
Council of ministers of Jai Ram Thakur Government met on Nov 10 at Shimla recommend to the Guv to convene Winter Session from Dec 7 at Tapovan . This will be the second session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly after Monsoon session to be held during the Covid pandemic when the number of cases have increased in the hill state.
During last Monsoon session three members of assembly tested positive while many couldn’t attended Session as they were either tested positive already or were in isolation.
The state assembly has to complete mandatory 35 sittings of every year and five meeting would be held to complete the minimum requirements.
