Himachal Pradesh received rain and snow in last 24 hrs during ongoing inclement weather condition. More rainfall is also predicted in the state till Wednesday, said the Met department.
Gondla in Lahaul and Hansa in Spiti recorded five and four centimeters of snow respectively while Kalpa and Keylong received 16 and 13 millimeters of rain respectively over the last two days, said the IMD’s metrological centre at Shimla. Other places where rainfall
occurred include Manali (13 mm), Kothi (9 mm), Udaipur (8 mm), Reckong Peo (6 mm), Sangla (4 mm), Sarahan (3 mm), Sumdo (2 mm) and Bhuntar (1 mm).
Centre director Manmohan Singh said that minimum temperatures decreased by one to two degrees and maximum temperatures by three to four degrees as compared to the previous day.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was 0.4 degree Celsius, Kalpa three degrees., Manali 8.2 degrees, Dalhousie 10.2 degrees, Kufri 10.9 degrees Solan 12.4 degrees, Dharmshala 11.2 degrees, Bhuntar 12 degrees, Shimla 13.9 degrees, Chamba 16.2 degrees, Sundernagaqr in Mandi and Hamirpur 13 degrees, Kangra 16.5 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 17.5 degrees and Bilaspur 14.2 degrees respectively .
The Met Office said that most places in the foot and middle hills may continue to receive rain or rain or snow in next 24 hrs.
