Himachal Liquor tender online auction 2026 begins, district-wise E-auction schedule announced

The Himachal Pradesh government has started the e-auction process for allotment of retail liquor vends for the financial year 2026–27. The new system, introduced for the first time, will be applicable from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.
Under the revised mechanism, retail liquor units will be allotted through a transparent, unit-wise online bidding process, enabling applicants to participate from their homes or offices. The e-auction process commenced on Monday with Kinnaur, Hamirpur, and Chamba districts.

The e-auction portal is accessible through the state taxation department’s official website and the excise e-governance portal, as well as the central e-auction platform. Link https://eauction.gov.in/ngauction
District-wise schedule
For Kinnaur, Hamirpur, and Chamba, online applications will be accepted from February 23 (6:55 PM) to February 26 (6:15 PM). Document verification will take place between February 25 and February 27, while the auction is scheduled for February 28 (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
For Sirmaur, Una, and Baddi, applications will be open from February 24 to February 26, with document verification from February 26 to February 28, and auctions on March 2.
In Solan, Kangra, and Bilaspur, applications will be accepted from February 25 to February 27, verification from February 27 to March 2, and auctions held on March 3.
For Mandi and Nurpur, applications will be open from February 26 to February 28, verification from February 28 to March 3, and auctions conducted on March 5.
For Shimla and Kullu, applications will be accepted from February 27 to March 3, with verification from March 3 to March 6, and auctions scheduled on March 7.
Mandatory digital record-keeping
The state tax and excise department has made it mandatory for all applicants to register on the e-auction portal using a valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). Applicants have been advised to carefully review the Excise Policy 2026–27, standard operating procedures, and user manuals available on the official portals before participating.
Government’s says
A government spokesperson said, “The introduction of e-auction for retail liquor vends ensures transparency and ease of participation. The system allows bidders to participate remotely while maintaining a fair and competitive process. All applicants are advised to go through the policy documents and guidelines before submitting their bids.”
Officials expect the new system to streamline the allocation process and improve participation in the excise bidding process across the state.
