Shimla, May 24
Himachal Pradesh Council of Ministers decided to open the passengers Transport with restriction from June 1 in the state.
This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj while briefing media person about Cabinet meeting.
“We had made our mind to start public transport much earlier however the recent spike in number of cases forced us to wait for lock down ending on May 31.” he said announcing to open up the transport from June 1.
Later briefing media persons Bhardwaj said that private and HRTC services could carry passengers only upto sixty percent of seating capacity where as passengers could not be boarded or deboarded in confinement zones.
He said that people and operaters have to follow social distancing and certain restrictions before providing/availing services.
Bhardwaj said that council of ministers allowed the private education institutions to charge tution fee.
He however said that all educational institutions would not be open up immediately and shall continue imparting online classes till further order.
The state government also denied any announcement of emergency Curfew. A fake news was posted on the social media pertaining the same stated a spokesman of government.
