A Male doctor who was on duty in isolation ward of Tanda medical college has also tested positive, confirmed DR Sudarshan, CMO of the institution. Till filing of the report total 7 positive cases have been recorded in the state today. Kangra recorded the highest 5, and Hamirpur tested two.
In Kangra a 33 year old male tested positive. Reportedly he had travelled on a scooty from Panchkula on 30th April to his village Jamanabad. This is also the second case from Jamanabad. Earlier a youth who had travelled from Delhi had tested positive in this village.
Other three new positive cases tested at Dr RPMC in Kangra are all men aged 40, 50 and 62 years. One is a police Head constable, one has travel history from Jalandhar 2 days back and one has been detected in flu clinic.
Two more tested positive in Hamirpur district today confirmed RD Dhiman Additional Chief Secretary Health. Reportedly these two are aged 50 years and 30 years and were asymptomatic. They belong to Bajrol panchayat under Sujanpur tehsil and had returned from Delhi on May 1 this year. Both have been shifted to isolation ward in Bhota, stated officials.
On Monday one 63 yrs old man belonged to Chaundha Village of Kangra district tested positive at Microbiology lab and Dr. Rajinder Prasad Medical College Tanda and hospitalised at Zonal Hospital Dharmshala. The patient returned to Himachal from Delhi on May 8 and sample of the patient was taken during institutional quarantine as he turned symptomatic during the isolation.
Adding the 6 cases of today the total positive case count have moved up to 66 and ‘Active’ cases are 25 now.
Till date Una district has recorded 17 cases of COVID-19, Chamba 12, Kangra recorded 15, Solan 9, Hamirpur 6, Sirmaur, Bilaspur and Mandi 2 each and Shimla one.
35 patient recovered from the state two have died of pandemic in the state so far and four migrated outsid the state . Â
