A devastating fire engulfed two houses in Seri village, Samarkot, under the Rohru subdivision of Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh, early Monday morning. The blaze, which reportedly originated from a burst LPG cylinder, erupted around 4:30 AM, rapidly consuming the structures and causing significant damage to two neighboring houses.
Tragically, a cow perished in the inferno. Firefighting teams from Rohru swiftly responded to the emergency call and worked tirelessly to contain the flames, preventing further destruction to the village.
The affected families, identified as Kailash Shiv Saran and Mohan Lal, have suffered substantial losses estimated to be in the lakhs of rupees. Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
