Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC)Â fleet would resume bus services on interstate routes from October 14 i.e tommorow after remaining off for the last seven months , state Transport Minister Bikram Singh said in a press statement issued here today.
Singh said that HRTC would resuming its Interstate Bus services with effect from October 14Â as the public sector transport unit has already resumed its partial operation on the interstate route after it was withdrawn in month of March 2020.
Transport Minister Bikram Singh said here today that the state government has decided to operate interstate bus services of Himachal Road Transport Corporation from 14th October, 2020.
Interstate bus services would ply on 25 routes in the first phase, in which Chandigarh, Pathankot, Baddi, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Ambala, Haridwar, etc. have been included. Only non AC buses would ply on interstate routes and night bus service has also been included in it.
He said that the state government has taken this decision in view of the upcoming Navratri and festive season. He said that people have been demanding to start interstate bus service. He said that soon interstate bus services would be plied in other states as well.
