Shimla, June 21
The Shimla Police has recovered 13.853-kilogram opium, 26.24 gms of Charas and 21.55 gms of Chitta in five different cases from five persons, including a lady. Superintendent of Police Shimla Monika Bhutunguru said that five residents of Shimla, Punjab & Nepal, were nabbed with a huge consignment of illicit Charas, Opium and Chitta. These accused got nabbed in different searches and interception of vehicles, conducted by the police teams. She said five cases have been registered under various sections of the ND&PS Act at PS West Shimla, PS Dhalli and PS East Shimla. Further investigation is ongoing.
