A Gram Panchayat Pradhan and Secretary have been booked by State Vigilance and Anti Corruption in a misappropriation case lodged against them at police station Reckong Peo of Kinnuar district confirmed additional Director General of State Vigilance & and anti corruption bureau (SV& ACB). An FIR has been registered in PS SV&ACB Reckong Peo for corruption against the then Pradhan and Panchayat Secretary of Gram Panchayat Shudharang, district Kinnaur on the allegation that they had forged bills and misappropriated Government money meant for construction of an LPG crematorium in the village at the cost of Rs 43 lacs during the Year 2015-16.
The case has been registered after conducting preliminary inquiry in the matter on a complaint received in this regard from District Panchayat Officer, Reckong Peo and after obtaining due permission of the competent authority under section 17A of the amended PC Act, he added.
