ITI trained pump operator welfare association today demanded to treat them as COVID warriers and extend 20:30:50 grade scales soon.
President of ITI Pump operator association of Kasumpti unit Ajay Sharma said in a press statement today that the Departmental Promotion Committee( DPC ) was not convened since 2018.
Considering their pending demand of 20.:30 : 50 grade pay soon, the association demanded convening the DPC .Â
Resentment prevailed among the IPH pump operators and field staff due to apathy of the department and government towards them, he said.
The association has submitted the memorandum and raised their issues before the Superintending Engineer. However their demands were not considered so far. Many working posts are lying vacant and present staff is overburdened in the Kasumpti IPH circle.Â
He said that resentment is simiring among the field staff as despite performing duties for 8 to 9 hours during the lockdown they are facing the apathy of concerned authority toward their welfare and demand.Â
