Former AICC President Rahul Gandhi returned to Shimla again on Saturday after leaving for New Delhi from here on Wednesday. A Police officer informed that Gandhi returned to Shimla from Delhi and went to his sister Priyanka Gandhi’s cottage straight where she and AICC president Sonia Gandhi are staying together.
AICC chief and Rahul Gandhi has together arrived in the state on Sep 22 but Rahul had gone to Delhi from where he again came back on Saturday. Police officials said that Gandhi arrived at Charbra on Saturday around 1200 hrs.
Earlier to this Rahul Gandhi met Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot at Delhi and his return to Shimla to meet with his mother seems to have political meaning. The party did not disclose about the unscheduled return of Gandhi to Shimla and what had been in conversation between the two top Congress leaders.
Gandhi ‘s have reacted sharply to over alleged Pegasus snooping of mobile phones and
other opposition leaders are expected to have a one to one conversation with AICC president as she is currently staying here.
‘Former Chief Minister of Punjab Amrinder Singh reacted fiercely to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated that the Cong Chief Minister should bother about his own state instead of writing letters to him on the Punjab Congress development’.
Priyanka along with her Children and mother regularly visit this cottage which is in proximity to The Oberoi Clarkes run Wildflower hall hotels. Vadra bought four bigha properties in 2007 to develop a cottage which took almost thirteen years to complete.
