Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment also renowned as Defense Geo-Informatics Research Establishment, RDC Manali (Himachal Pradesh) has warned general public about possibility of Avalanche in parts of Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti district.
District Administration Lahaul Spiti displayed the SASE warning to its Social Media page here today cautioning people to stay in their homes as after heavy snowfall and subsequent clear weather chances of avalanche in highly prone become higher. ” All the general public is informed that the Defense Geo-Informatics Research Establishment, RDC Manali (Himachal Pradesh) has expressed the possibility of Avalanche in Solang, Dhundhi, Atal Tunnel Rohtang, Koksar, Sissu and Tandi areas of the district. “
” Keeping this warning in view, all citizens, tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay at safe places in their homes and do not take any kind of risk. ” the avalanche alert issued here by the district administration said.
Administration also said that all the village panchayat heads, NGOs, trekkers and pedestrians are requested to spread this message to as many people as possible so that any untoward incident can be avoided.

It has been stated earlier that from January 7 to 10 ATR recorded eight to nine feet Snowfall and amount of Snowfall may be very high could trigger avalanche with clearing of Weather.
