Shimla, Nov 2
Shimla Bar Association discussed or reviewed the Covid situation on Monday and resolved to request the court to convene physical hearings of cases till Nov 23, 2020, being community spread of Covid virus in the district.
A resolution passed by the Bar said that it would urge the courts not to take cases for evidence (Criminal or civil) fixed for the arguments and concerned counsels should be at liberty to argue cases or should not be forced or adverse order should not be passed in their absence.
Only matters which is registered as urgent in nature should be argued and replied.
The service matter either (criminal or civil) in nature shall be continued but in those cases in which concerned counsels have already filed his power of attorney should not be passed adverse order.
The revenue courts and other administrative courts functioning outside the court complex Shimla also suggested to take only urgent matters on application of private litigants and in rest cases adverse order should not be passed .
