Following the curfew notification by the state government, the Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi issued, guidelines for the same. He said that Corona curfew will continue in the district from May 7 to 6 am to May 17 at 6 am under Section 144. Adding, that during this time shops of daily consumption items will remain open till six in the evening.
He told that there will be a ban on gathering more than 5 people at one place during the curfew and 20 people will be allowed to gather for marriage and cremation. He said that it would be mandatory to get permission from the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer for organizing the wedding ceremony.
He said that during the curfew, movement of people will be allowed only for special work like getting vaccinated, getting tested, buying daily items in which medicines, ration and buying vegetables etc. will be allowed. Saria and cement etc. can be procured for various construction works.
He informed that apart from daily need shops, all other shops and establishments will remain closed. Apart from this, auto workshop, dhabas and medicine shops will remain open till 6 pm under SOP. Agricultural and horticultural activities will be allowed to be carried out during the curfew. He said that till May 16 all departmental offices will be closed only the government offices providing essential services including the central government offices will be open with the presence of 50 per cent employees. In addition, offices of banks, ATM and financial services will also be open with an attendance of 50 percent. He informed that employees coming for office and bank or those coming for other essential services will be allowed to come by showing identity card. He said that the operators of hotels, dhabas and Karayana shops should issue identity cards to their employees so that they can move during the curfew.
The Deputy Commissioner said that to keep the essential services smooth, people who use their private vehicles will have to ensure 50 percent ride compliance. He said that during this period, compliance of special standard operation issued by the tourism department under hotels and tourism activities will remain effective.
