Six die, 3 sustain injuries at Sundernagar in Mandi of HP
Shimla, July 14
Six people died and three others sustained injuries when a Bolero SUV carrying them fell into a gorge near Bhalana Khudi Nala in the Kateru area, under the jurisdiction of BSL police station in Sundernagar, Mandi district. The incident occurred this morning amidst heavy rainfall in the region.
Local residents were the first to reach the accident site and, after a strenuous effort, managed to evacuate all the victims from the gorge to the nearby road. From there, they were transported to Sundernagar and Nerchowk Medical College hospitals for treatment.
The rescue and relief operations faced significant challenges due to the lack of visibility caused by darkness during the night.
