Shimla, May 28
State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau Special Investigation unit has recorded samples of two persons whose voice have been identified in the audio clip went viral in social media forcing the department to book Director Health Services Ajay Gupta in Corruption case recently.
Source in the SIU confirmed that two persons whose voice has been identified in the audio clip were taken to Special Forensic science Lab Junga for recording their Voice sample. The investigation in the matter is on, he added.
Vigilance spokesman said earlier that Ajay Gupta who discharged from IGMC Hospital Shimla on Tuesday was sent in five days police remand by the special judge Shimla till May 30. Gupta had been grilled by the SIU on May 20 before his Hospitalization and booked under prevention of corruption Act as he was allegedly discussing about some deals with other person.
Gupta’s bail application is also listed for hearing before the court as earlier bail application was withdrawn by the counsel of Gupta. Reportedly it was done on Vigilance submission before the court that they are not insisting for his remand immediately.
Prosecution urged the court that it would seek his remand after the accused Officer recovered from the hospital based of which defence withdrew the bail application after court allowed the accused to undergo treatment at IGMC Shimla. Gupta was discharged from the IGMC on Monday and he was produced before the court on Tuesday.
A audio clip demanding Rs five lakh from a person went viral couple of days also being circulated on social media.
